30. Swayed largely by fluctuations of Wall Street securities, grains at least temporarily quit backsliding today, but failed to hold well on upturns. September wheat contracts touched a new all time low record for any "heat future on the Chicago board of trade, and all deliveries of corn outdid the lowest levels reached heretofore this season. Then buying broadened, influenced by the fact that grains had declined for five successive days and that a reversal of trend appeared overdue. Late action of the stork market, however, put grains un- der a fresh handicap.

Wheat closed unchanged to 5-8 cents off, corn varying from 11-8 decline to 3-8 advance, oats unchanged to 3-8 down, and provisions unchanged to a rise of 12 cents. 5i 10 9 I 10 4 20 I 20 20 -3! 3'4i 3-4 304l 15 i VsH 212I54I21 8r 3544 2' 45, I 45 I 45 2' P.i!
