MANILA, Philippines – The August 2024 Medical Technologist (MedTech) board exam results, which include the full list of passers, top 10 (topnotchers), top performing school and performance of schools, are available on this page as expected to be released on Tuesday, August 13 or in four (4) working days after the exam.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted the Medtech licensure exam (MTLE) on August 7 and 8, 2024 in the cities of Manila, Baguio, Cebu and Davao.

NOTE: Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but had obtained a general rating of at least 70% can register as Medical Laboratory Technician, PRC said.
REGISTRATION AND OATHTAKING
PRC said that registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done on-line. Please go to www.prc.gov.ph and follow instructions for initial registration.

Those who will register are required to bring the following:
- downloaded duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- notice of admission (for identification only)
- 2 pieces passport sized pictures (colored with white background and complete name tag)
- 2 sets of documentary stamps
- 1 piece short brown envelope
Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
VERIFICATION OF RATINGS
Medtech board exam's verification of ratings (passers, non-passers and removal) can be done online.
Visit PRC's "Verification of Rating" service and provide the required information to verify your identity. Note that this will be available in few working days after the release of results.
COVERAGE OF EXAMINATION
Medtech board exam covered the following subjects: clinical chemistry, microbiology and parasitology, clinical microscopy (August 6); hematology, blood banking and serology, hispathologic techniques, cytotechnology, medical technology laws, related laws and its implementing rules and the code of ethics (August 7).
RELEASE OF MTLE RESULTS
According to PRC Resolution No. 1836 series of 2024, the target release of Medical technologist board exam results is on Tuesday, August 13, 2024 or in four (4) working days.
Note that results may be released ahead of the target or on later date without prior notice. Previous MTLE results were released in at least three (3) working days. With this, takers may also expect for August 12 release of result.
PREVIOUS EXAMS
In the March 2024 medical technologist licensure exam, PRC released results in just two (2) working days. A total of 7,309 out of 9,068 passed the exams. Jeency Agujar Pilapil from Cebu Doctors University topped the board with 93.00%.
In the August 2023 medical technologist licensure exam, results were released by PRC in four (4) working days. A total of 3,982 out of 5,401 passed the exams. Sam Jeffrey Bitao Tiongco from Saint Louis University led the passers with 93.30%.
In the March 2023 Medtech board exam, PRC announced results in three (3) working days. A total of 4,714 out of 6,165 passed the exams. Sidrey Mel Aldeguer Flores from Colegio San Agustin - Bacolod City topped the board with 92.10%.
In the August 2022 Medtech board exam, PRC released results in 4 working days. A total of 1,796 out of 3,582 passed the exams. Kharam Baricaua Molbog from University of Santo Tomas grabbed the highest place with 91.90% rating.
In the March 2022 MTLE, results were also out in 4 working days. A total of 1,268 out of 2,752 passed the exams. Audrey Nicole Dumlao Tape from Far Eastern University - Manila topped the board with 90.20%.

About the Medtech Profession
A medical technologist is a healthcare professional involved with laboratory investigations of specimens taken from the human body.
Examinations or tests on biological specimens such as, but not limited to blood, urine, stool and other body fluids, are performed for the purpose of aiding physicians evaluate, diagnose, manage, treat and monitor patients.
The cost of education for the 4-year Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, also known as medical laboratory science, ranges from Php 30,000 to 50,000 per semester in private schools and universities or 40-50% lower in public educational institution.
